This song is a dedication to socially awkward people, many of whom are dismissed by others as being “weird”, and therefore frequently ignored and not given a fair chance. The deeper meaning of the song is that discrimination can take on many different forms, many of which go undetected in the modern world, and how people should all pay attention to how we treat others by thinking about how we ourselves wish to be treated.
